Anybody interested in attending photography workshops with National Geographic? You can see their packages here. Mind you, it seems that you have to be almost a veteran to join. Plus they cost quite a fair amount (My choice of a workshop locale of Venice would set me back by about US$4,800+ ... oh and btw that does NOT include return airfare costs...sigh.). I think I'll stick to trial and error experimentation for now (with some basic fundamental understanding, of course).
Speaking of the fundamentals, I chanced upon....well, technically its not by chance as Google uses an algorithm...Anyway, I found a very informative site on photography fundamentals, techniques and tutorials by Sean McHugh. You can find the technical bits here. There is also a gallery of his work taken around Cambridge. Quite spectacular to say the least. Most of the images are taken during the lighting hours of twilight or moonlight making the settings around Cambridge seem magical, almost like scenes from a Harry Potter movie. Anyway, you can view the galleries here.
